I have always wanted to be a teacher and love working with children of all ages. My areas of study were middle school science and social studies but I believe in my academic ability to help children across many aspects of learning. I believe all children can learn when given the opportunity. Some of the most influential people in my life over the years have been my teachers and I look forward to doing the same for children.
As a recent graduate from Radford University, I am anxious to begin teaching. I have spent the last year in a middle school classroom observing and teaching. I graduated from Liberty University in May 2009 with a BS in Accounting. I am currently and have been a substitute teacher in Bedford County for the 2009-2010 school year. I have substituted for grades 6-12. I have been a football coach at Liberty High School for 3 years and I have been a track & field coach at Liberty High School for 5 years. I have helped different types of students away from school in various subjects. I love math and I am in the process of completing the requirements to gain a teaching license to teach high school math.
I really enjoy being around kids and helping them learn new things. When you teach a kid something and they finally get it, the sight of their face lighting up is priceless.
