Following my graduation from the University of Connecticut I pursued a career in the insurance industry but have also spent time working as a youth group leader and worked as a part-time tutor for several years. I am a life-long learner, having earned my BA after enjoying two successful careers. I was a reporter for 10 years, then went to the corporate world. When I was downsized five years ago I ventured into other areas including teaching.
I like to teach with a light touch. As a parent I have nurtured teenagers through challenging times. My experience has taught me that most kids only want to study those subjects that interest them. Unfortunately, they have to study even their least favorite subjects.
