My comments on tutoring Statistics : We have both online and Austin area in-home tutors for math. Each has either a science degree that involved math up to Calculus or higher, or a math Degree. My comments on tutoring Statistics : I employed statistical analyses regularly during my scientific research projects in order to verify the significance of the data and the relationship between multiple variables in my experiments.

I always liked playing up my quirky personality. My favorite teachers and professors were the goofy ones, the ones who can relate to the students' fun side. These teachers also challenged me the most, and I ended up getting so much more out of the course. I figure that, if a student likes the teacher, he or she will pay more attention and have a deeper respect for the teacher. The teacher then can use this trust to push the student a little more, intellectually. I find that is what works best for me.
I don't any paid, professional tutoring experience. However, I have volunteered my services to family members and friends. During my sophomore year, I took Organic Chemistry and excelled. As a engineer I have been training operators in everything form SPC to troubleshooting for 30 years. I am a volunteer tutor for Adult ESL & GED for the Literacy Council of Williamson County since June 2009.
