My comments on tutoring Japanese : Intermediate to advanced spoken Japanese, moderate written. Best when working with beginner Japanese students.

I have a fairly relaxed style, though I am flexible and can adjust to whatever will make the student(s) most comfortable.
I worked as an ESL teacher in Japan for almost four years teaching people of all ages, from toddlers to senior citizens. The opportunity to live in Japan, coupled with study in university has also given me an intermediate level of Japanese. In high school I also had a position as an assistant teacher at a karate dojo, working with large groups of children of all ages. Additionally, having studied and/or worked in Japan, the UK, New Zealand and most recently Australia, I have familiarity interacting with people from wide ethnic, cultural and linguistic backgrounds and can alter my teaching style accordingly.

I enjoy most working one-to-one with a student who is interested in the subject matter and wants to learn. I believe anyone can learn anatomy with gentle guidance and repetitive practice. I am able to make the subject "come alive" for the student and integrate the relevance of the knowledge to everyday life as well as the field of work for which the student is being prepared. I want my student to be as excited about the human body and its wonders as I am. I would love to teach Japanese to young children who absorb a foreign language just like they absorb other information and skills. I would immerse them during the time we spent together, using very little if any English.
