My comments on tutoring Aerospace Engineering : Fimiliarity associated with metallic materials and processes in the Aerospace Industry

I try to fully understand and assess the student’s needs to better resolve issues surrounding the subject matter. I encourage and stimulate student participation through real life experiences, examples, and applications to facilitate the students understanding of the subject matter. I promote dialogue around the subject matter to facilitate the student’s own resolve, constantly stressing the relevance of the subject matter through real world examples to illustrate the practical application of the information and skills learned in class.
I have BS and MS degrees metallurgical/materials engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, with 30-plus years experience in the metals industry. A Little Bit About Me...

I am comfortable tutoring lower level math classes, mechanical design, or other engineering classes. Writing classes such as English, literature, or fine arts are fine as well. I have a BS in Mechanical and Aerospace engineering from MIZZOU. I am very proficient in technical editing, critiquing papers and writing technical papers.
Hands on, Practice based, through step by step instruction. Visual learning whenever applicable. Geometry, algebra, physics, and some calculus are in my range of teaching. I am very patient as long as the student is trying to learn and cares about the work. Mental support of students is half the battle.
