A Little Bit About Me...

As a graduate of one of the top state schools in New York, I have always believed in the importance of education. I have a BA in art studio, 2 years of biology/chemistry, and Calculus I&II, which has given me a well rounded education. I have also developed a higher level of writing skills through my research papers and laboratory write-ups. My latin classes have given me a better understanding of vocabulary and the derivatives of different languages from latin. The past year I have been studying chemical and physical aspects of my visual arts. I find ways to be diverse in the way I learn.
Teaching and working with children not only educates them but it educates myself in the process. I enjoy earnest and humble students, learning with and from them. I feel uncomfortable not learning laterally as well as vertically, seeing that to be knowledgeable, one must not just memorize but ruminate on what was memorized, making as many lateral connections as expedient. I like to simply direct and expand a student's learning as opposed to an artifactual accomplishment; however, my premiere obligation is punctual achievement of task.
I am qualified to tutor writing, basic computer, reading, basic math, learning, biology, organic chemistry, genetics, geography, and various exams, all from college-level experiences. I hold a BS from St. Bonaventure University in Elementary Education, and a Master’s Degree in Integrating Technology into the Classroom from Walden University. I graduated 7th of 645 from St. Bonaventure, where I focused on teaching with hands-on activities and technology infused lessons. My teaching experience includes being the director of an After School Program focused on reading and a long-term substitute, teaching one on one special education and substituting in regular classrooms from PreK to 9th grade.
