A Little Bit About Me...

My passion for the arts drives everything I do, from education to the practice of art. Being an academically trained artist has taught me the value of knowing the masters of art history and the importance of passing on the knowledge. Also, with art being hands-on craft, I strongly believe in “getting in there and getting your hands dirty”. I've recently finished the licensing program through the University of Minnesota. I expect to have my Minnesota State Teaching License in Elementary Education k-6 and Middle School Language Arts 5-8 by mid summer. Along with my teaching degree I have received a certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorders and have been working as a camp counselor through the Autism Society of Minnesota for the last three summers.
