I am not young enough to know everything

I agree with the concept that each person learns a bit differently, and even more so that as a tutor, I should try and find the most effective style for my tutee. My academic career also taught me the importance of setting time limits for each action item; and switching tasks to keep the mind sharp.

Hello, my name is Jennifer Garcia and I am currently in the final stage of becoming a certified elementary teacher. My comments on tutoring Elementary Reading : I am a certified K-8 elementary teacher and have taught for 8 years. I have my Master's Degree in Reading. An example of this is: I started working, for 600 hrs (pull-out and push-in) a week, with a 2nd grade student at the end of January 2007. When I began working with him, he could only read 13 words. By the end of May, he knew 49 words
