I believe that every student should be given more than enough opportunities to succeed in school. Generally speaking, I believe students learn much more efficiently when they have manipulatives to work with. Also, when students are able to relate to the subject matter, and know why it is important to learn it, they grasp and master the skill quickly and easily. My calm and caring manner also facilitates learning and reassures the students that I truly care about them.

As a college graduate, I have earned a bachelor's degree in Economics, with a minor in Statistics. I have 2 years in a professional financial position. Along side of my finance career I assisted a friend of mine in the academia field. I assisted in creating lesson plans, grading papers, writing tests, and team building activities. The description of my teaching style changes with each new class I receive. I am a strong believer in the Multiple Intelligence approach to teaching, as individual students learn in many different ways. In my classroom, expectations are explained at the beginning of each lesson. Because attention spans only last between 12 and 15 minutes, I make sure to rotate activities to insure that my students are engaged.
