I am in college as a senior this year. I am very good in Math and English. I took five semesters of French and still keep up with it every chance I can. I have tutored in pre-calculus with friends and helped a few in algebra. I adore math, to me it is simplistic and just one large logical problem. Explaining, showing, teaching, have always been something that I enjoyed doing. If I can pass on my knowledge to someone new then, my college hardships and achievements, were all worth it. Having been a teacher, I understand all teachers teach differently, much like a student learns in a variety of ways. My approach is to bridge the gap that lies between the two--working with the teacher to receive a better performance from the student. I have a passion for seeing a child excel in education because it means they will continue on to become a prodictive member of society. Upon graduting from college, I became an after-school tutor, grades 4-6, focusing on all levels of homework and emphasis on students who had particular needs. I attended college later in life. Recently, the opportunity arose to better myself. I chose Early Childhood Education and then continued on to obtain my Bachelor's Degree. Following this, I returned to school for Nursing. Eventually, we moved to Texas where I applied,tested and obtained my LCCA License. While in New York State, I was employed through the Alternative Suspension Program as an LVN. While there,I assisted with the teaching of students. This in turn gave me the opportunity to obtain my certification in Teaching. I remained in this position for two years. During this time, I had my own case load of 5-8 students grade 7-12. Following this position, I was employed at a tutor for those youth who were home bound.
