My style of teaching is centered around three basic concepts. Building relationships with students, making the information something they can relate to, and finally providing them with lessons that challenge them while simultaneously making the lesson something they can comprehend. While studying in college to become an elementary teacher I sought out many opportunities to practice my new skills and found them in all levels of academia from helping first graders learn to read to assisting my peers with their college papers. For the past ten years, I have been teaching High School English. I have taught grades 9-12 in Literature, Composition and Standards of Learning in preparation for the state exams.
