A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is patient. I don't believe there is any other way. I listen, I watch, and I give helpful suggestions. I answer the student's questions only as far as what is needed. The students that I work with know and understand that they will be doing the work. I create a friendship with my students so that they respect me as more than a tutor and that I respect them more than a student. Yet, I will help students learn new ways to remember procedures and processes. Overall, I and my students will work together to learn from each other, and to increase our love for learning.

A Little Bit About Me...

As a graduate student at Kansas State University I have learned the value of education. My education in Political Science working towards my BS has given a high degree of competence in math, history, and social sciences. Through my pursuit of an education in an MA in English I have obtained a high degree of grammatical and writing skills through repeated preperation of papers, speaches, and presentations. As a student at Kansas State University, I have learned the importance of the pursuit of higher education. I have earned a BS in Psychology, an MS in Marriage and Family Therapy, and will pursue a PhD in Family Life Education and Consultation starting during the 2009-2010 school year. I have written a lot of essays and read numerous research papers. For over a year and a half, I have tutored students in English, psychology, mathematics and sciences.
I enjoy teaching students how they learn. It is very important that students know their learning style. My goal is to help them learn how they best retain information.
