I can make learning fun, No Doubt!

I have learned many teaching styles. Each student learns differently, so there is a technique to apply to very learning style to accommodate individual needs.
I am a junior at EKU working toward my Bachelor of Science. Education major with concentrations in Math and English. I have tutored my mom in basic college math as well as statistics, and her grades have definitely improved. I have worked with elementary, high school, and college-aged students, providing instruction in subjects ranging from English to biology. I am comfortable teaching a group, but I also have ample experience working one-on-one with students. I believe that course material should engage students. I do not believe that rote memorization is practical in most real-world situations, and I prefer to provide instruction in a manner that makes learning interesting and fun. This typically results in students who retain information long after a test is over.
I attended Thomas More College on an academic scholarship and graduated with honors in the spring of 2011 with a BA in Environmental Science.
