Mathematics Tutor in Multiple Areas

When explaining the aspects of a particular subject, especially Mathematics, I break down the work into its simplest form, and from there, build up to more complex components. With a foundation of Problem Solving, anything in Math is able to be understood.

My comments on tutoring Statistics : Especially experienced explaining basic statistical concepts to students who typically struggle with math.

During undergraduate, I tutored several of my classmates in different chemistry and math courses. Additionally, I've had the pleasure of being a teaching assistant for 2 years for undergraduate statistics. As a TA, I was responsible for summarizing new material, reviewing the concepts, and going over the homework for groups of 20 to 30 students. I've also had a good amount of experience working with smaller groups of students or 1-on-1 with students who came to my office hours.

I allow the student the time that it takes them in order for them to "get it" without pressuring them. I also like to make the material as simple as possible by teaching in a manner where I like to emphasize understanding as opposed to just being able to do it.
