As a history major, I have a desire to learn more and teach more about the past. I have learned so much about the present through studying the past. I have written numerous papers and completed projects while in college. These will help me to teach students how to organize, prepare, and excel in history.
I believe in teaching according to the curriculum. However, I will also pull in information from other historical and academic sources that will enhance the student's learning experience. I believe in allowing the student to prove their capabilities by allowing them to demonstrate their knowledge in different ways. I believe students should take exams but they are not the only way I test students understanding of the material.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have tutored fellow classmates in the past throughtout middle school and high school. Although I am not certified to teach, I have taken quite a few teaching curriculum courses while attending North Carolina State University. I have the ability to teach and accomodate different learning styles with various age groups from the Pre-K level to high school ranging from elementary students to adults. I feel that for any individual who chooses to learn something new, the biggest key to their success is motivation and their personal interest in what they are looking to learn.
