I believe all children can learn, but that all children learn differently. Having taught special education, I had a range of grade levels in my class. Very often the students would be spread out over three grade levels. Because of this, I am extremely good at tailoring my instruction to different levels and learning types. I currently am employed by the Chatham County School System as a long term substitute and as a Math Resource teacher. I was picked up this years by East Broad Elementary School to help many students to pass the CRCT. I have references letters from the Principals and several math teachers at the same school. I amd will soon be graduating from Armstrong Atlantic with a Masters of Art and Teaching, with concentrations in Math and Science Middle Grades. I truly enjoy my teaching profession. The moment when a student who has been struggling for understanding starts to put all the information together and applies it is "priceless". My teaching style always includes getting to know and understand the "learning style" of the student or students. If the initial technique does not work then I will keep trying different methods to present the material until the student and I agree that the subject has been mastered.
