The type of instructor I am working to become and remain does not view teaching as a job but, views teaching as an ongoing mission. I have been a camp counselor, tutor, coach and teacher. I have taught English in Ghana, preschool in Argentina and special education in the Bronx. I have taught and worked with children of all levels, ages and backgrounds. I am very strong in writing and communication, but have also taught math up to fifth grade. I have taught science and social studies up to fifth grade as well.
I believe all children can learn, but that all children learn differently. Having taught special education, I had a range of grade levels in my class. When I began my real estate career, I worked primarily with first time home buyers, whom I educated constantly. With the housing market collapse my desire to instruct in this manner grew as I segued into the insurance industry, and was given an opportunity to open a branch office and personally train over 50 agents in a one on one capacity over the course of two years.
