I have taught for Utah State University for five years- Business Calculus and College Algebra as an Undergraduate. During that time I also tutored students from a wide variety of subject levels- kindergarten up to discrete mathematics. I also have a minor in Biology and taught Bioethics as an Undergraduate. I can help with study efforts for AP Biology or entry level Biology courses mostly. I then achieved my Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting from Excelsior College in 1996. Working with students in math, I like to ask what the student enjoys doing while not in school. I like to relate this to the math to make it more interesting as well as making it fun. This will also make the student more comfortable and lowers the stress level. In lower level courses in basic math up to middle level courses such as algebra, the methods used are integrating the content into the unsolved variables and/or word problems.
