I enjoy teaching kids of all ages and get along well with them while maintaining a degree of respect from them. I am capable at keeping them on task, even with challenging personalities. I enjoy doing hands-on work as well as print focused work. I have developed patience working with my own six kids in our home. My double major in Molecular&Cellular Biology couples biological systems and human physiology with the "harder" physical/chemical sciences. A Little Bit About Me...

I tutored math in college for 3 years, mainly algebra and trigonometry. I received a BS in Mathematics with a secondary education certificate. I was a substitute math teacher for seventh and eighth grade pre-algebra classes for 10 weeks. Afterwards, I had various jobs in finance. During the last eight years I have tutored my children in math (kindergarten to seventh grade). I have also tutored a middle school student in pre-algebra and a young adult in basic math related to welding. Currently I am a woodworker and co-owner of a custom woodworking business.
I enjoy helping students succeed in math. I talk to the student to find out what the student's strengths and weaknesses are. A Little Bit About Me...

I started teaching in 1970 as a K-8 substitute, continuing until being hired by a private school in 1975. I then taught full time in East LA. Upon moving to Wa. and being certified here, I taught in several schools in differing cultural settings untill recently starting my own business in Newport. I have also tutored and graded math praxis.
I enjoy working with children and get a kick from seeing a discovery or understanding in a students eyes. I've had the opportunity to collect numerous bio. samples for hands on experience. I have also taken workshops in the workings of google earth as a teaching tool along with mapping and watershed principles.I feel I have benn successful in elightening many student's lives.

Teaching children of all ages is my passion.
