I am currently an accounting manager with a national real estate development company. I also am a partner in a local bookkeeping and tax preparation firm. In 1999, I graduated from Georgia Southern University with dual degrees in Accounting and Computer Information Systems. Upon graduation, I was employed with Arthur Andersen LLP, the top accounting firm in the nation at the time. In 2003, I received my accounting certification from the State of North Carolina. I own my own science consulting firm and like to dedicate a certain percentage of my time to education and public outreach projects including teaching, mentoring, and tutoring. I have taught high school and college students on and off since 1986 and have had several students go on to VERY successful careers, perhaps one of the best ways to evaluate ones ability as a teacher. My most recent success (2006-07) was a 7th grade C and B student who had straight A's after only two months of working together and finished 7th grade with straight A's.
