My comments on tutoring Basic Learning Skills : I have been a certified elementary teacher for four years, as well as prior tutoring experience during college.

I have had a lifelong passion for teaching, which I look forward to utilizing in order to meet the needs of your child. I have been a fifth and sixth grade teacher for four years, but my teaching experience goes far beyond that. Prior to earning my teaching certification, I was a tutor as well as a children's dance instructor. There is no greater thrill for me than being able to share the gift of knowledge with children. My favorite subjects to teach are math, reading, and writing because I love being able to take the subjects that students find difficult and challenging, and show them how to break it down into something comprehensive as well as fun. As an elementary teacher I know that student learning is individual and should be student centered. It is NEVER too late to learn, nor right to learn only 1 way

I utilize kinesthetic learning and encourage parental involvement within the tutoring sessions.
I summarized my basic experience in the Policy Statement. To expand on that, I have over 20 apps on an android tablet that are for clients who need early intervention in the areas of educational subjects, speech/breathing techniques, social and emotional recognition and assistive communication. I have a child safety filter infiltrated into the device so that the clients receive only what is appropriate to their learning. They cannot access the settings on the device, nor the regular web. I honor parents' input on what they think is appropriate for their child.
