A Little Bit About Me...

I have taken an Effective Teaching class at our local Community College. We learn all types of techniques for helping students to learn. Some students learns by hands on applications others through repetition. Still each person is unique and I believe all students can learn. I have taken 18 hours of Math courses including Algebra, Calculus, Business Mathematics and Math Analysis. I have my undergraduate degree in Accounting and an MBA in Accounting. As a MBA graduate, I was in determined to gain a higher level of education. While in grad school I tutored several classmates in various courses. I conducted and lead several study sessions. I tutored in accounting, math, statistics and computer application classes. I also tutored students while in undergraduate school.

I love to help students become over achievers. I discovered that my success is directly related to how I overcame my past challenges with math, particularly Algebra. Reflecting back on the years when I attended high school, I struggled with math. Once I was accepted to NC A&T, I realized that I had developed a fear of math and did not understand basic algebraic concepts. After being assigned a peer tutor as a freshman, I overcame my fear of math. Due to his mentoring I was successful at conquering math concepts and performed well in all other academic courses.
