Everyone can learn - it just takes the right presentation!

I am a behavioral specialist with 12 years of experience working with individuals between the ages of 2 and 19 who have been diagnosed with ADD/ADHD, Traumatic Brain Injury, emotional disturbance, Autism, Downs Syndrome, and other developmental disorders. This is what I love doing, and I have the patience to reteach in multiple ways over multiple days. Over the past 5 years I have taught English Language Arts to sixth graders, and tutored in all 6th grade subject areas while using positive reinforcement to enhance productivity. An understanding tutor

The teaching style that I have always promoted is to recognize that everyone learns on a different level and at a different pace. Therefore, a step by step instructor is needed and that instructor has to know how to meet that individual needs based on what they know not what I know. You find alot of college professors teach lessons based on what they know and their experience not realizing that the some students learn at different paces. I experienced this as both an undergraduate and graduate student but I had to go through it or drop the class.
