The realization that children do well in small group instructional settings, and on an individual tutoring basis, is what I took most from my years in the classroom. My focus is to ascertain the instructional level needed, then instruct for that standpoint. I do not like busywork, but instead look for progress in the individual child. My comments on tutoring Algebra : I currently work as an Algebra tutor for the students enrolled at the Art Institute of Atlanta. I also assist students improve test scores who are trying to gain admission into the college yet score poorly on the entrance exam. Therefore I am more than capable of assisting in test preparation as well as greatly improving overall understanding of the subject matter.
