I have been a Boy Scoutmaster and merit bade counselor and have worked with youth for over 15 years. I have always been given very high marks as an instructor with many comments on my positive energy and help for students. I have an applied mathematics minor so I would be able to teach algebra, geometry, trig, and introductory calculus.
I am a question-answer type of teacher. I like to demonstrate, have them do, answer questions, clear up ambiguities, and then test or at least check to insure learning and understanding. I volunteer for HOBY (Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership Seminar) every year. This program pushes facilitation, which is what I strive to do. A Little Bit About Me...

Throughout my undergraduate and graduate studies I have maintained an A average. I have been considered to be very intelligent, professional, and a great leader to my peers during my schooling as well. Although I have only tutored a couple of students during my education, they both did considerably better on their exams after my tutoring.
