As an English major and writer/editor with 15 years of experience, I have honed my grammatical, language and communication skills through the written word and verbal expression. With volunteer work at women's shelter's, I read to and helped elementary-age kids learn to read during my time spent with them.
I love being with and teaching children, especially when it comes to reading and books. I find it highly gratifying to see the joy that comes with learning to love to read and the subsequent doors of learning that open as a result. A Little Bit About Me...

I am a graduate student at ASU studying Education Administration. I have experience working with students of all ages 5-17. I currently work in a middle school and spend my weekends teaching life skills to troubled youth. I have taught for over 6 years and I plan to continue teaching for as long as I can. I enjoy working with children and sharing my passion for learning. I participate in ongoing professional development to be a better educator and I am always for looking for new ways of teaching children.
