I tutored my high school peers informally (without pay) as the President of the English Club at Guthrie Public High School, but I have recently started tutoring middle grade children as well as high school students. I scored a 31 on my ACT, was awarded the Smithsonian English Award, and I am currently enrolled at the University of Central Oklahoma as a Creative Writing major. My tutoring subjects include English, Reading, Writing Skills, and Study Skills for middle grade children. A Little Bit About Me...

I am first and foremost a listener. I'm laid back and patient but understand that success on exams and in school does not come to most without hard work and challenging yourself to go out on a limb. I believe that the best way to learn is to make materials apply to you and things going on around you.
From early on in my high school career I understood that passing AP tests could mean graduating from college in 3 years, saving money for grad school, and a chance to get into the professional world sooner. That's exactly what I did. I had to take some summer school and intersession classes, but I endured. While studying at the University of Oklahoma, I became interested in tutoring and helping those less fortunate. I began tutoring at a program called Tuesday Tutors which provides free-of-charge tutoring to all students Junior High level and above (although we often helped out Elementary students who stopped by).
