I have taught SAT Math prep at Cary Academy during the last two summers and at Roxboro Community School where I worked primarily as a Spanish Teacher.

I do not have current experience teaching or tutoring for pay. I did some tutoring of high school students and fellow classmates while I was in college. Since then, I have been the "go-to" person in my family for help with math and science. I tutored one of my sisters in her classes at St Charles Community College. She graduated with an Associates degree in AutoCAD last year. I helped her with all her cad, math, physics, and engineering classes. A Little Bit About Me...

While substitute teaching various subjects, I discovered my hidden talent – making math understandable for youth. My other gifts include excellent grammar, vocabulary and reading comprehension skills. I don’t have a teacher’s certificate, however, and am currently choosing not to substitute, but I miss the personal interaction with students who want to learn.

In a tutoring situation there is usually the immediate need (to pass a test) and the long term need to be able to succeed on their own.
