I taught 3 years in college--Freshman English, Grammar Basics, Composition, Speech, Literature, Business Communications. Taught over 15 years (English, Pre-Algebra, Science, History, Literature, Reading) at junior high and high school level. I was a Trainer and Communications Specialist in an industrial environment (17 years.) Trainer, U.S. Army Reserve, 2 years. Although, I have never been in charge of my own class room I consider my teaching style energetic. I love working with students of all ages and find that teaching methods and styles tend to adapt to those individual students. I think it is important to be encouraging and patient with all students. I believe in a hand on approach where students learn from experiences and doing rather than being lectured.
