I believe that all children should learn no matter what their ability or disability may be. There should be passionate teachers in the field to be able to take on the responsibility of helping children reach their full potential. As an educator, I nurture my students and provide an emotionally, stable atmosphere while maintaining high expectations for all. My goal is to instill the love and passion of learning in every student that I teach. I do not want to touch one life; I want to touch the life of every child that walks through my classroom door.
I graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Deaf Education. After graduated with a BS in Agriculture Economics from Alcorn State University in May 2000, I have worked as an Agricultural Statistician for the National Agricultural Statistics Service. While working with NASS, I have taking a creative writing class to improve my writing ability. I have also taking Calculus I, II, and III to build on my math skills. I am on track to receive a master’s in Management at Belhaven University in July of 2010. During the past 10 years I have tutored students in mathematics at the college, high school, and elementary levels.
