I am an Honors Graduate from California State University Stanislaus and I am knowledgeable on many subjects. I have had former experience in tutoring and I am more than willing to work with students of any age. I am proficient in English, Social Science, Study Skills, and many other areas. As an avid reader and excellent writer I am able to work with students on their writing skills at any level.
I am a hard worker and expect a similar attitude from the students I tutor. I tend to work out the problem for the student on one problem and then I watch as they go through a similar one to ensure they have understood. This repetative practice has proven efficient. I also tend to make the student practice more than the required assignments needed to be accomplished to ensure a firm grasp of the material.

As an Application Engineer for a research company, it was my resposaability to train, instruct and give seminars on the material currently in vogue in Semiconductor, Biology, Physics, and Geology in materials to be analyzed. These seminars were meant to instruct and inform researchers of the techniques available. Most seminars were at colleges and universities in the U.S. and overseas. Having homeschooled my children (eldest is attending a top 20 public university)and volunteering extensively in the school community, I have become familiar with a wide variety of learning styles. My legal background has prepared me for tutoring in that I am able to effectively communicate with the student and present the material in a manner conducive to a learning experience(similar to explaining legalese to a lay person). Above all, I strive to ensure that the student has a true understanding of the materials, as opposed to simple memorization.
