A Little Bit About Me...

Though I have a degree in classroom education, one-on-one teaching is my heartbeat. I believe it is the highest good for a student's learning. It prevents your student from getting "lost in the crowd" and allows us to focus on his or her needs. My first goal is to determine how the student learns. Using creative strategies and different methods, I do my best to take a confusing or frustrating subject and make it understandable, if not enjoyable.
I traveled for a year with a family and home-schooled their 3 children. The children were in 1st grade, kindergarten, and pre-school and were seriously below grade level in math and reading.
