I am a former social worker, "turned teacher".

I am a former social worker, "turned teacher". I returned to school in 1998 to "recycle myself" and finished an M.A. in 2000. I did not continue, to become a fully credentialed teacher. I have had 8 years + experience as a substitute teacher, in high school, middle school and elementary school. High school was a favorite, but now I find that elementary students (1st thru 5th) are more accepting of my "grandma-like" appearance.
I use lesson plans and schedules left by the teacher, as well as textbooks and other materials like workbooks which are familiar to the children. I leave a written synopsis of the day for the teacher, including notes on behavioral issues or good/helpful behaviors.

Its Elementary Tutoring

My experience stems from working in the general education classroom while assisting not only students with typical development but also students with special needs in their ability to access the general education curriculum.
