A Little Bit About Me...

I am a recent graduate of Rowan University, however have 3-4 years of tutoring experience. I started tutoring the spring of my sophomore year (organic and general chemistry) and continued tutoring through the university till half way through my junior year. Since then I have tutored directly for the chemistry department at Rowan University as a volunteer tutor. Even after my graduation I have continued to volunteer my services to the University. Over the past 4 years of tutoring, I have tutored in General Chemistry, Advanced Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Quantitative Analysis, Biochemistry, and Instrumental Methods. When a student is challenged with a physics problem, they feel overwhelmed because they do not understand how to approach the problem. For example, making a sandwich you first use the bread to contain the other ingredients such as the meat, vegetables and condiments. This basic understanding of ingredients on how to make a sandwich is applicable to the atom. An atom is made of protons, electrons and neutrons. This is why I have enjoyed teaching because once one can understand the way in which a student absorbs information, the teacher and or tutor needs to provide the information in that manner. I know and have demonstrated the ability to do so.
