Journalism is one of my top subjects! I worked as a Business reporter for 5 months and received a reward for one of my pieces.

I work hands-on, using examples. However, I am readily able to adjust to new learning styles!
I have taken creative writing and journalism courses. I have experience in the journalism field, and won an award for one of my stories. I have also done much writing on my own, including writing a full-length novel (in the works of being edited with hopes of publication). I am an avid reader and my reading comprehension/writing scores on tests have always been well above average.

I was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and Sigma Tau Delta (the English Honor Society) while graduating Magna Cum Laude from Luther College. At Teachers College, Columbia University, I was inducted into Kappa Delta Pi, the Educational Honor Society. Being overwhelmed with information that is just not making sense can be frustrating and most teachers don't have the time to give individual attention to each student. Ever student has different needs and I can help them focus on areas they doesn't understand as well as others. I can also show students that studying can be fun.
I have teaching and tutoring experience at the high school and college level. I love expanding their minds and sharing my knowledge with them. I will be a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Superior in just a few short weeks with my degree in English and Communications.
