My comments on tutoring Speaking : Several years of experience presenting various topics professionally in addition to college (both undergrad and grad).

I have over 20 years of professional experience in accounting, audit and tax. In addition, I passed 2 sections of the CPA exam on my first attempt (FAR & REG). 4.0 MBA graduate with 2 bachelor of science degrees - accounting and business management respectively. I did take 2 doctorate courses in accounting at UTD (3.83 GPA) to see if I could meet the challenge.
Informal and relaxed environment where all questions are welcomed. I tend to keep my students engaged by making jokes and asking them questions.

A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy teaching when there is a bit of a challenge getting the student to understand the concept. As I have mentioned, I can use different styles to help the student get the concept. I have a great deal of patience and believe that everyone can learn. I enjoy the way someone looks after they have understood and mastered an idea.
I tutored all subjects - especially in Math all through High School. I also tutored in college. I have strong skills in Math - all levels - but I especially enjoy algebra. I have two children and I basically taught my oldest son math, since he was a different kind of learner than the way they teach at school. He is a very kinesthetic type learner and needs to see, feel and touch to understand the concepts - so I used a lot of tools to help him. I can tutor math and science exceptionally well and other subjects for the younger levels.

For almost twenty years, I’ve worked with students as a K-12 as a tutor, coordinator, counselor, and advocate in a variety of educational environments. In 2006, I returned to college to obtain my bachelor’s degree and by flexing my classes scheduling, earned 83 hours in 6 consecutive semesters and graduated Magna cum laude from Eastern Illinois University in the December 2007. I enjoy a very interactive learning approach. I tend to use hands on and visual learning techniques. I am patient and children are my joy to work with. It does not matter how long it takes one to learn, everyone is capable. I desire to set up a fun and disciplined learning environment for the students best success.
During the attainment of my undergraduate degree, I conducted research under my professor, Dr. Greg Powell. Throughout the research, I gathered many skills one being creative in learning, as well as, presenting new material and teaching it to fellow peers and professors.
