As an undergraduate student at Utah State University, I spent two years working as a Undergraduate Teaching Fellow, a Teacher's Assistant, and a Supplemental Instructor. I taught labs and assisted students with understanding information in the subject areas of Microbiology, Human Anatomy, and Human Physiology. I held review sessions, created tests and quizzes, and met with students individually or in groups to answer questions, review tests, or improve study habits.

I learned very early in my teaching career that the most important element to learning was infecting my pupils with joy of learning and the power of that knowledge - which is my primary teaching style. During my two-year residency in the country of Peru, I taught English courses to groups of native Spanish-speakers. I have a degree in Spanish from Weber State University and use the Spanish language daily. My wife is currently enrolled in her second year of college Spanish, and I am a constant tutor for her. She has maintained top level grades in her Spanish courses.
Learning should be fun. I help my students relate to the material they are studying. My experience in other Spanish-speaking countries, provides a real-life application of the course materials.
