I love teaching because I myself am an avid learner. I have a passion for the subjects I teach and hope that I can instill this same passion in those I teach. I believe that every student can learn the information taught in class, it's more a matter of finding out how each individual student learns. When information is presented in the right way (for each individual), it can make all the difference. What I find most rewarding is when a student begins to grasp the information and is able to apply it and perform well. I enjoy the challenge of teaching to appeal to many learning styles. I am a life-long learner, both academically and professionally with a diverse professional experience. I have an MS degree in Public Health and a BA in Biology. I have professional experience as a cell biology lab technician, sales representative, medical science liaison, product manager, and as an adjunct faculty member at a local community college where I taught biology, microbiology, botany, and human anatomy laboratory courses. I come from a family of teachers. My first teaching job was as a ski instructor when I was 15 years old.
