My teaching style is basic. I feel it is most important for a student to grasp the basics before they can move on to more complicated subject material. I also am a strong believer of parental involvement. A parent knows their children's learning patterns best. I like to use different approaches. Activities that are visually and mentally stimulting help to form a connection between the student and the lesson. It is important to me that each of my student's set and acheive goals.
As a high school student, I attended Tiffin University to gain college experience and credit earlier than expected. After graduating from Clyde High school, I went on to Ohio State Mansfield, where I majored in psychology and special education. I am currently a full time student at Ashford University online. As a bilingual, internationally traveled persona, I have tutored students of all ages. From 1999-2003, I have served as a third grade Teacher's Aide focusing on on reading, memorization and basic math tutoring. Since 1999, I also have tutored middle, high school, and college students in pre-algebra, algebra, geography, computer skills, writing, and grammar. My master's degree has trained me in learning techniques.
