A Little Bit About Me...

I received a bachelors of science in chemistry, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Tennessee in May 2013. I taught both undergraduate inorganic and general chemistry during my time at the university. Also, I possess a firm grasp of chemical laboratory techniques and data analysis through my experiences.
My teaching style includes accommodating student with a variety of different needs by explaining concepts in a way that is clear and easy to understand. If alternate explanations and help are needed, I provide them gladly.

Chemistry Made Easy

I received my bachelor's degree in chemistry (ACS Certified) from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2009 and my master's degree in organic chemistry from Vanderbilt University in 2012. Throughout my undergraduate education, I acted as an official tutor for the chemistry department and as a teaching assistant for the general chemistry and chemistry for non-majors teaching labs. As a teaching assistant, I was responsible for presenting pre-lab lectures, demonstrating experimental setups, and grading quizzes and lab reports. My comments on tutoring Inorganic Chemistry : Master's Degree in Biology and Chemistry, 40 years teaching experience

I am pleased to have this opportunity to tell you a bit about myself. This is done in order to provide you with a chance to get to know me before we are assigned to each other. Thanks for your time in reading this entry. My teaching career with young adults has been over a span of 38 years. Some of my original students from the 70's are now grandparents in their mid fifties. However, I am still young at heart and still enjoy working with young people. My first teaching position was in a rural school locale in the middle of a farming region. Sometimes the smells that drifted through the air back then still haunt my memories.
