Children and adults learn in different ways. Visual, auditory, kinesthetic are three ways that people can learn, I happen to be mostly kinesthetic. I alter how I teach depending on what my students need and what the resources are. I do use a constructivist teaching style to do this. I do believe that a student rises to the expectations of the instructor. I also believe that the responsibility of learning should be increasingly the students as they take over their own education away from the instructor. While the instructor is giving over the job of education to the student they should still contribute to broadening the students knowledge horizons by offering challenges.

A Little Bit About Me...

For the past five years I have had the pleasure of teaching at an international school overseas. Due to the size of the school, I taught various levels of math at the secondary level including 7th grade math, Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus/Trigonometry, and AP Calculus. Continually teaching such a wide variety has enabled me to better understand the flow of the mathematical learning process. A Little Bit About Me...

I am a recent graduate with straight A’s from Lewis-Clark State College with a major in Biology. I took many classes in math to receive my degree. I tutored students at the University of Montana enrolled in biology and anatomy courses. The students I tutored had significantly better test scores than their previous ones. At LCSC, I assisted one of my professors for her online chemistry courses. I made keys and graded their homework and added notes to help them for future assignments. I was also enrolled in human dissection. A large portion of the course was teaching the human anatomy students certain body parts.
