Looking to get your student to catch up during the summer?

I am a recently graduated IB/AP student. I have been a volunteer tutor almost everyday for the past four years and have tutored elementary, middle and high school students, even though I prefer elementary. I have a 4.03 gpa and exceed both academically and socially. I pride upon my interpersonal skills and my caring and patient attitude.

I enjoy teaching others and helping them excel in their studies. I can relate to younger students because I have a six year old who required extensive help in the area of reading. She was one of my greatest achievements because I had to research a way to communicate on her level of understanding and yet make it interesting and fun. I encourage individuals to stretch the envelope and to seek different solutions rather than accept what has been done before. I have also stressed that there is never a bad question or wrong to think outside the box. For example I have always asked students, "Why study history?"
