During the past four years, I have obtained a BS in Accounting with a Concentration in Fraud Examination and a Minor in Business Management. I have been employed full-time as the Business Manager of a private, not-for-profit Christian school, and as the Business Director of a student newspaper, The Voice. I have worked continuously in the educational setting with students, staff, and clients. My teaching style is more student centered. I believe that involving the students with hands on activities allows them to grasp and understand certain topics easier. Especially in a science classroom where we are studying intangible topics, like the core of the earth, or the stars, or the atmosphere, students may have difficulties understanding these ideas from a strictly lecture based approach to educating. Also I understand that schools are becoming more and more diverse regarding the student body population. As a Business Administration major, I have had extensive schooling in all realms of business, accounting, and finance. In my earlier years, I had extensive exposure to math of all levels, as well. As I am still a student myself, I bring a slightly unique perspective to tutoring.
