I then received my Masters in Special Education and began working with special needs students in the high school setting. While teaching Special Education students,I received my Specialists Degree in Special Education. I currently teach Social Studies to learning disabled, emotional behavior students, and Mildly Intellectually disabled students. In today's classroom environment, I feel like some students might be a little hesitant to ask questions and to ask for quidance. This in part could be due to a teacher's overload and inability to provide one-on-one instruction or perhaps due to peer pressure and the student feeling like they could be viewed as "not measuring up" by some of their classmates. As a high school student, I had a teacher who dramatically influenced my life and my future career. She instilled in me the love for accounting. I hope I have learned by example.
