My comments on tutoring American History : Studied in high school.

I have taught children in a Sunday School environment for more than 20 years. I taught in the New York City Public School System as well as the Nassau County, NY Public School system as a per diem substitute for 2.5 years. I have always enjoyed teaching and helping others to learn. I don't believe in "I can't do it" or "I can't learn". I believe that anyone can learn anything as long as they're willing to learn and put an effort to do so. What is different is that some people have more ability than other to learn certain tasks, but eventually, everyone can learn. It is all a matter of adapting oneself to the student's need and ability to learn. My goal is to make the student learn what they set up their mind to learn in the first place, and help them improve their condition. Learning Can be Fun!

I have tutored children in group and individual piano lessons. I have tutored them in math and social studies. I have spent over 20 years in business in the accounting field and prepared countless financial statements and income tax returns. I am skilled in all things mathematical. I also speak Spanish through over 9 years of instruction.
I like to allow the student to read the material once and clarity any areas that need more explanation. Then I will allow them to answer questions from the material read and help them where needed to choose the correct answer and understand the reason for the answers. I like to reward a certain level of correct answers with points that can be redeemed for interesting small prizes.
