I have a year of experience working as a Peer Facilitator at New Mexico State University where I was responsible for grading papers, tutoring, facilitating biology workshops, and hosting exam review sessions for lower level undergraduate biology courses. Math Tutor With Collegiate Level Experience - Very Patient

I am a well qualified math tutor and have 3 years of tutoring experience at the collegiate level. I was the lead math and engineering tutor for the University of New Mexico's Engineering Student Services (ESS) Department. I finished both my B.S. and M.S. degrees with a 3.4 and 3.6 GPA, respectively. In my time at UNM, I completed 30 hours of math from college algebra up to partial differential equations.
I am very patient and take my time explaining things. I like to make sure that my students understand something well before moving on. Learn while having fun. My methods achieve results.

Very relaxed fun. Making the student feel comfortable and letting them figure the solution out on their own with as little imput as possible. Sort of like spotting in weighlifting. I also focus on a holistic method which is about understanding the problem with as little memorization is possible. The idea is if you can understand the concept then it is very easy to apply the answer with very little modification.
Held Study 2 hour sessions with over 10 students 3-5 times per week in Engineering Schools. Classes included: Calculus 1 & 2, Statics and Dynamics. Also did indivdual sessions. As an Electrical Engineering student at Virginia Tech, I tutored other students in all subject matter related to my field. I tutored for three years privately and one year at the Electrical Engineering department tutring center. Since then I have worked for about four years in my field professionaly.
