I am currently the Sixth Grade History Teacher at Williamsburg Collegiate Charter School. My responsibilities at WCCS include developing rigorous objectives for the Sixth Grade History curriculum. Moreover, I serve as a Special Education Guided Reading Instructor for eight, Sixth grade students. I have experience working with children with learning differences both in and out of the classroom setting. In addition, I served as Co-Director of Bear Buddies in Brunswick, ME. for three years. A Little Bit About Me...

I have wanted to be a teacher since I was in second grade. I think it is so important for children to be successful in school so they enjoy their experience and want to go to school. I believe that all children learn in different ways and I will work with you and and your child to help discover how they learn best. I will then create lessons based on their learning style, such as hands on learning. By doing this I have found that children are more successful when they learning in a way that works best for them.

I loved teaching! I think I retired too early because I miss the every day challenges and excitement teaching gives! I have been trained in 4Mat and Gardners Multiple Intelligences. I firmly believe "every child can learn" as long as you teach to their learning style. My daughter is following in my foot steps and will start her first teaching job in September. Working with students and education has been a part of my life for about 11 years. I first began doing so in high school, around 1999 working as a volunteer with the YMCA. Eventually I became a counselor and would work my way up to Camp Director. I am proud to say that I am the first of my family to attend a University. Currently I am a senior at Cuny Lehman College in the Bronx, NY where I study English Literature and minor in Secondary Education.
