I have worked in the accounting field for the past 12 years. I received my Masters degree in finance a couple years ago and I am currently studying for the CPA exam. I have extensive knowledge in many areas as well as hands on training. I just became a partner for a local accounting firm. I have extensive experience tutoring and mentoring students in creative writing and composition arenas. As lead teaching assistant for entry-level undergraduate Creative Writing courses at Oberlin College, I facilitated small group workshops, provided students with feedback on their writing, and wrote lesson plans designed to help each individual improve technically as a writer. I am currently a Special Education Teacher within the Cobleskill-Richmondville Central School District for the 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 school years. Prior to my employment there I was a building substitute within the Albany City School District as well as a certified BOCES substitute approved through many schools throughout the Capital Region. I completed my Masters at the University at Albany in Summer of 2013 in both Special Education and Literacy. During this program I completed several internships to prepare me for specific Special Education as well as Literacy instruction.
