I love to teach and coach and think it is important to understand that everyone learns and grasps concepts in different ways. I do not have a specific teaching style other than positive because each child requires their own approach. I have over 15 semesters of college courses most in the sciences. I find math and science to come easy to me if I am taught it in the right way and I would love to share that with struggling students out there. I have had experience in big and small schools, accelerated programs as well as normal classrooms so I have been exposed to a variety of learning environments.

I have earned a bachelor degree in mathematics. While doing so, I have taken many educational classes that has taught the different ways kids learn. I am sure that I will be able to help these kids in their moment of need. I truly enjoy teaching children and I know for a fact that each child learns at a different rate as well as a different way. At the elementary level I have 2 years experience as a K,1st and 2nd grade combined teacher, three years as a 1st grade teacher and 1 year as combined 1st and 2nd grade teacher. In the area of special education I have taught students from age 3 to 16 with Mental Disabilities for 8 years. Currently I am working as a substitute teacher for the Carlisle Community Schools and Des Moines Public Schools. My teaching style is that I believe all students can learn but that there are different learning styles and we must match the correct learning style with the student. While I earned my bachelor's degree in communication from Loyola, I also worked as an Academic coach for high school students.
