Study is like a game to teach students how to play and enjoy

Positive Experienced Tutor

While I am not a teacher by profession, I have successfully tutored a variety of leraners in a variety of subjects, primarily math, english, science. I enjoy working with people and helping them learn in ways that reach them and help them gain understanding and ultimately success. I am positive and creative as well as determined to help each student.
I am the mother of 3 children, two with college degrees and one currently in college. I was very involved throughout my children's school years, volunteering in the classroom, tutoring, etc. I have also tutored privately since my children left school. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is very student-centered; I not only actively seek to engage students in my curriculum, but I also seek to help foster their love of learning. I firmly believe in differentiating my instruction to accommodate my student's various learning strengths and styles, and in pursuit of this goal I utilize educational supplements as integral parts of my curricula. I also am a firm believer in the usefulness of learning standards as a guide for successful instruction. I use them to help me set goals for my students, and then I plan backwards to decide how I can help my students achieve those goals.
